9/24/2002 - "Bike the Creek" is THIS WEEKEND!!!

Saturday, September 28th at 2:00 PM

Join your federation members for a leisurely Bike Ride on the Rails to trails path, from Downtown Rochester to Paint Creek Cider Mill and Back. Cider and Donuts paid on your own. This is a patch event. The ride starts at Rochester Municipal Park. Take Rochester Road North to Downtown-Turn left on University Drive (One block North of Fourth Street) and take to Ludlow. Turn Right and go North on Ludlow, it will end at the Parking Area of the Park. Look for the Guides representative. The ride is approximately 3.6 miles, major cross streets along the Route are Tienken, Dutton and SilverBell. For younger tribes, you could start at any of these intersections for a shorter ride. 9/24/2002 - Night of the Painted Trees - Friday, October 4th

START TIME - 6:00 PM

Saint James Park Behind the YMCA.  Join the Three Fires and Paw Paw Federations (Princess Tribes) as we officially kick off the year with Night of the Painted Trees. This has traditionally been one of the more popular events of the year - please join us for tribal participation, a Council and Chiefs induction Ceremony and a demonstration of Traditional Native American Dances by the Pettibone Family. Patches and Snacks will be provided. Show us your numbers, and make it a banner event - We hope to see you there. Questions? Contact Linda Brooks at the YMCA.

 


1/14/2003 - Winter Campout at Copneconic Update

Winter Campout, January 17-19, Camp Copneconic in Fenton. 

Scheduled Activities Are: Friday Night Nature Hike, Toboggan Races, Broom Ball, BB Guns, Wilderness Survival, Operation Eggbert, In Cold Blood Nature Center, Indoor Campfire , Saturday Night Monster Movie Night, and cross country skiing!

1/14/2003 - Football Latenighter - Sponsored by Redwing

Date:  January 25, 7:00 PM at the Birmingham YMCA 

Cost:  $5.00 per person

Come out, and bring your kids too for a memorable event, and an opportunity to learn a little about football and the equipment and skills required from ACTUAL football players. This is a favorite event that has been repeated year after year by popular demand. Troy Colts and Redhawks players and coaches are in attendance, and a Q & A session follows a general presentation - plus footballs for the braves and it is a patch event!!!  Be there, and sharpen up for the Super Bowl
